Aug. 26th, 2023 01:20 amToday I am grateful for:
While my Sweetie STILL slept for about 12 hours, at least he did work on the insulation today, and made some progress.
While he worked outside, I folded laundry, changed the sheets and washed them, did the dishes, and vacuumed.
I went to see River, and my Sweetie stayed home to work on the insulation. It has been one of the few decent days this week where it is not drizzling, so you have to make good use of it.
River was having a bit of trouble breathing, not too bad, but I respected it.
We did well on our Liberty work, and I did my best to practice the new "backwards direction change", though I'm still a little lost with it.
Our work on the Freestyle pattern was good, though he's still not turning well to the right.
We rode outside for a while, and I worked on our spirals in and out and so on.
I chatted with R and her daughter a bit, which is nice, and interacted a bit with the girl who has a lot of challenges. She really likes the little dog that R's family adopted.
They named the dog "Nacho", and he is doing well. They treated him for his mange, so he can be pet now and lives in their house. He had an ear infection that they are also treating. He seems to be a good fit for the family and is SO CUTE. He's some kind of Shiba Inu mix, and looks like a little fox.
This is the dog I mentioned a month or so ago, that they picked up from the road. The one that R was thinking of having a fund raiser to pay for his vet bills, but I'm glad they aren't doing that.
I came home and we watched more "Shitt's Creek", which is fun.
I learned that there is a type of wild cat native to Thailand that swims and hunts fish. It does hunt other things too, but I've never seen house cats for example, swim right into a body of water and stick their head in there and come out with a fish.
