gottawonderToday I am grateful for:
A day in the city, again.
It was raining, and my husband was very quick to say it was too rainy to work, though it had stopped soon after I got up, and didn't rain any more afterwards.
Sigh.
So, we went to the city. Again. As one does.
I guess this is because he is leaving tomorrow for his big bike ride (MS fund raiser), and he wanted to have a fun day with us before he left.
We did do a few useful things; we got special light bulbs for the turtle to mimic sunlight, and turtle food. My husband got the specialized tape for sealing the insulation.
We went to an outdoor equipment store that my husband had some credit to buy him a new pair of hiking boots (he wears them like other people wear runners, almost as everyday shoes, because he has very flat arches and needs support).
Then we went to a thrift store where I found some treasures. I found a very nice pair of Clark's Chelsea boots for very cheap.
Then we went to the art gallery, which was a bit disappointing because TWO of the galleries were closed because the exhibits were changing. Guess we should have looked first. Anyhow, we revisited the "pop art" gallery and one about "dance" that was a bit strange, but hey. It's art.
Then we went for supper at a little Asian place that felt like the small town restaurants. A cozy place.
We picked up the special tape on the way out of town, did a super quick dash into Superstore mainly for vitamins.
It's a funny thing to be in a big grocery store when you aren't super focused on shopping, and you're just people watching.
We came home and watched more "Schitt's Creek".
I learned a bit about what the brain of a jazz musician does when they are improvising; their brains go into a state that is similar to when you are dreaming or telling a story.
