Today I am grateful for:

A really beautiful, moderate, sunny day.

Friends of ours who have helped us before came today to help my husband with the siding. They focused on some of the very high up stuff, passing things up to him so that he didn't have to climb up and down the ladder a hundred times.

I made them some simple frozen pizza for lunch, but added a ton of extra cheese since there is never enough cheese on any pizza you can buy frozen. It turned out well and they seemed happy.

I also picked an assortment of veggies from the garden to send home with the one fellow who lives in the city and they don't garden.

I went to see River, and he was hungry, so I let him graze for half an hour again before we worked.

Our work was okay. We were outside again, still practicing the same freestyle pattern, which no longer fits the length of the song I chose because outdoors the pattern is much more spread out.

He did better with staying with me, and overall it was okay, but we still aren't getting all the way through the pattern without miscommunications, and I kind of give up.

We've worked on this thing ALL FREAKING SUMMER, and we are supposed to be recording it tomorrow. I can't say that I haven't given it my best effort, because I feel like I really have.

I did my best not to "drill" River, left it while things were still pleasant, and called it a day.

At the very least, he could finally go out into a pasture that still has some grass left in it when I turned him out today. I hope he gets enough to eat tomorrow so that he is comfortable and focused.

I came home, and we watched "Don't Worry, Darling" which was once again visually beautiful with great acting, and the plot was good, but the idea has been used many times before so not very original.

Today I learned about songwriter Max Martin, who pretty much had single-handed created modern pop.
