Oct. 19th, 2023 01:04 amToday I am grateful for:
Sunshine and warmth.
My Sweetie worked on caulking around the window frames today, while it's still warm enough to cure properly. He's still not finished the siding. He later went to the dump, and returned the scaffolding we borrowed to our friends who live near the dump.
I changed the sheets and did a few little things here and there.
I kind of talked with Sister E, but not really. Mostly she talked about random weird things like how much Kraft dinner costs, and just random stuff, without really having a conversation with me. I'm not sure I even got to speak.
Do people not have the self=awareness to know when they're doing this?
I went to see River, we had a lesson today.
I went early, to warm up, since we were videoing another (much less intricate or important) pattern that we might use for an ILHA online show.
We got a pretty good video, so we'll likely use it.
Then we worked on ridden work; we will need to get much better at his spins (turns on hindquarters) and side passes, as the ILHA patterns use more of these as the difficulty progresses.
I chatted with R's husband K, apparently one of their horses is being kind of mean to the new horse that R is working with; chasing him around a bit and so on. Hopefully it settles down.
K also gave me a lovely apple from a box they bought through one of those school fundraiser things. I had to admit, they were likely ridiculously expensive but that was a tasty apple.
I came home and we watched more "Breaking Bad".
I learned that Thomas Jefferson was an avid breeder of sheep, and was very interested for several years in the Merino breed.
