Nov. 4th, 2023 11:25 pmToday I am grateful for:
Okay weather. Overcast, but not too cold yet.
Just a quiet day at home.
I spent some time just hanging out with the goats/ponies. It's very pleasant to just sit with them and pet them and watch/listen to them eating. It's one of my favorite things to do, is just to go sit out in the pasture with them and watch them just be themselves.
I walked around the larger horse pasture for a while with Roxy.
While I was outside, I called my Brother T. I am trying to talk to him regularly, as I do enjoy talking with him, and I just kind of forget and focus on my sisters.
We had a good conversation.
Then I came in and did dishes, folded three loads of clean laundry and put it all away, which led to me dumping everything from my wardrobe cabinet out and sorting it all so that I could put away summer things and find winter things.
I found two t-shirts that are not wearable any longer.
I changed the sheets on the bed.
I finally got hold of Trainwreck fairly late in the evening. With all of her health concerns, and her literally telling me that "she could easily die in her sleep", I was worried about her not returning my calls or texts the last couple of days.
Turns out, she just keeps "forgetting" her cell phone in her car, and doesn't bother to go get it or look to see if anyone messaged. This is pretty rude, considering that she likely has five people who check in with her almost every day to make sure she isn't dead.
She was at her stupid trailer again, and she's planning to spend the night. Likely because she wants to be with her cats, which is understandable, but very selfish.
She is indeed supposed to be transferring the title of that place soon, and she hasn't found a home for these cats, and just lies to herself saying "the new owner will look after them". Nope. The new owner will at best just not feed them, and at worst might shoot them or poison them if he hates cats.
They are fixed, and any number of people would be happy to have them as barn cats, but she's too selfish to give them up.
So, they run loose in the ghost town trying to survive outside for four or five days at a time, and she spends a night out there once in a while and feeds them. How convenient for my sister.
My Sweetie is driving home today, and I should hopefully see him in the wee hours.
I learned that so far, only 12 people have ever walked on the moon (all Americans), that all of the moon landings occurred between 1968 and 1972, so it has now been over 50 years since the last moon landing by humans.
