Nov. 7th, 2023 12:05 amToday I am grateful for:
Still decent temperatures. Very foggy, though.
My Sweetie went to work at the office today, and I was at least able to have a normal sleep (by my standards).
There have been times when we worked at the office, and got up early, and it is almost too easy for my body just to stay awake until he leaves for work rather than go to sleep before he gets up. That messes me up big time.
He was able to get some pet food on his way home from work, which greatly simplifies my life.
I went to town today for pottery. I was able to trim some pieces.
Then there was a general meeting for the craft centre, which means it applies to potters, wood workers, and weavers. We had a general meeting only two weeks ago, but they felt they needed another one.
Very little new ground was covered, and I felt kind of frustrated. We had all agreed LAST meeting that we needed a new kiln, but we had the official vote for it today, and covered information about the upcoming sale, and then an absolute TON of time was given to things like whether or not we should maintain our website. Everyone was just chit chatting conversationally, throwing out ideas for stuff, but no direction, asking questions about things that had already been thoroughly discussed, and so on.
I was impatient to leave because I still had to clean up, and then I needed to get groceries. I was really hoping to be home earlier than I normally am so that my husband could get to bed, because I knew he would either stay up for me, or would be woken up by me when I got home.
I left the meeting a bit early. Yes, it was rude, but all that was left was for each group to read their own report, and you know what? I bet it hadn't changed much since our last meeting two weeks ago.
I got groceries, and it was a larger haul again, since last week was a lot less. I bought things for my husband's lunches.
I am grateful to be able to buy groceries, for the physical ability to do so, for having a vehicle, and so on.
I came home and my husband was still up, so we put all the food away and briefly talked about our respective days.
I learned that Argentina is the home of the fifth largest population of Irish people, many of whom moved there after the Great Potato Famine and the Land Clearances.
