Today I am grateful for:

The precious gift of relative freedom, that has been purchased dearly.

My Sweetie got to sleep in today.

That Rocky has integrated really well into our household. His gentle personality means that our cats feel safe around him, and there has been very little drama.

That Mr.Bun seems content.

My husband was able to put on a screen door on the front entry.

I got all cleaned up and went for a "girl's night" supper with some women from the riding barn.

Several of us carpooled with R.

It was a fun evening. There were 11 of us, and we went to a "pub" type chain restaurant that was pretty nice. They did have a vegetarian bowl I could eat, though it had only white rice and I normally would choose not toe eat such a simple carb. Oh well, not like there were any other choices.

I learned lots about the people I was seated next to, and of course that is the purpose of such gatherings. At times though, you feel like you might have learned...too much? Hahaha.

It's almost overwhelming, trying to process all of the things you learned, and trying to keep it all straight.

I came home and filled my Sweetie in on everything, all the juicy bits.

I learned some interesting things about canola. A lot of canola is grown in Canada, and it is a type of Rapeseed, but has lower acid levels.

The name Canola is a combination of "Canadian" and "low acid".

It is a member of the brassica family; turnips and broccoli and cabbage.
