Today I am grateful for:

Getting lots of storage containers of mostly fabric and yarn over to the sea can. The sturdy garden cart was a great help; I could carry three or four containers instead of one at a time.

My sweetie, making more progress with the complex issues surrounding the plumbing.

A good phone conversation with my Mom. My sister had a good idea yesterday, about me texting her pictures of the house and explanations of the pictures, so that she could show Mom (she doesn't have a smart phone). Mom now has a better idea of the house, and what we're doing with it. We might do this more often as another way to keep in touch, and it gives my sister something to talk about with Mom, since they can't always find much to say.

Getting more weeds pulled. The sunny days have really caused the weeds to jump up, especially after all the rain. It's incredible. Why don't we just eat weeds?

The turtle that had the mysterious near-death episode isn't able to stay buoyant enough in deep water to be safe (this happened with the other turtle that had this happen), so I drained their tank so it has enough water to be submerged if it wants to be, but shallow enough that it can get air just by lifting it's head up. They already had a floating platform, but I felt that a few rocks would be more stable for it to come out of the water onto.

Having a shower, and feeling so good, after the heat and effort today.

For how so many things fell into place that made this the right summer to do the house project.
