Today I am grateful for:

Some sunshine, though we have still been getting rain most evenings. In some ways that is good for the garden, but it is not good for those making hay.

I am finding that now that my taste buds are shifting, I am ok with the taste of plain yogurt if I have it with fruit. Why did the food companies have to make us all sugar addicts? Most of the food I'm eating now actually tastes pretty good without all the sugar. I just had to get used to it.

A good riding lesson on River. The barn owner put River, and some other horses with the same breathing issue in pens away from the hay, and they are getting hay cubes. River's breathing was fine today, which was remarkable given that when I rode him on Monday, he was sucking for air and coughing. Today he was fine at walk, trot, and canter without coughing. I am so relieved that he is doing better, and if he has this issue again I will be able to try just changing the hay/feed instead of another giant vet bill.

Today I had one of the nicest canters with River, and I was really able to sit deep and relax my legs and hips, and just move with him properly.

It was nice to be at the barn again, with my barn friends. Being at the barn is part of ME, and I've missed it this last couple of weeks.

My sweetie found a nearly new, good quality hot water tank that we need for temporary residence very cheaply, as well as a whole bunch of plumbing parts (new), from a guy who was a plumber and had materials left over from jobs that he can't re-use.

Going into town and getting some DVDs to watch, and getting groceries. It's a strange thing, how as things progress with how I'm choosing to eat, there are just huge chunks of the store that almost don't even exist for me anymore. The meat section, the junk food aisle, all the pasta, a great deal of the frozen food, most of the bakery, all the fruit juice, and even most of the cereal/crackers/cookies aisle. I was kind of shocked at a Canadian Tire store today, because when you are going to the check-out you are herded into kind of a long chute to wait. It was something like 15 feet of pure junk food. Stuff I really never did eat, like a thing meant to look like a hamburger that was all some kind of gummy candy. There were chips, soda, hard candies, gummies, licorice, and so on. AT A HARDWARE STORE!!! No wonder people can't help but eat this crap, it's everywhere!! How can people be healthy when the whole world normalizes eating garbage all day long?

Getting my chores and supper done quickly enough to watch a movie with my sweetie. We watched "Terminal" with Margot Robbie, which was visually amazing, but pretty blah plot-wise.
