Textile recycling!
Dec. 18th, 2023 04:05 amSo, as you all know, I'm always trying to figure out what to do with stuff I don't need.
I feel guilty about throwing out stuff, even clothes that are really damaged and I can't wear them any more. I always want to do something more with it besides throw it away, but after a while, you really end up with just too much stuff, so you have to.
BUT, I will often hang onto things for a very long time first, before finally being resigned to tossing.
One thing that might help, is that I looked for and found an eco station not too far away that accepts textiles, as in clothing no longer suited for wearing.
I think I will look into this, call the center and make sure I've got that right, and then if it is what I think it is, start a garbage bag for all the torn shirts and such that need to go away.
This will help a lot with the guilt I feel over just tossing things.
