Decent sleep, and it felt like I had a lot of dreams. I've felt tired all week, and I wonder if I wasn't dreaming enough.
My husband did work some more on the doors for the shower/tub unit in the basement. It is proving to be quite difficult, (which is likely why it was abandoned a while ago), but it has to be finished for us to use the bathroom.
After chores and such, we went to visit with some friends (we've known them almost since we first moved here, and we often work back and forth at each other's houses) who live fairly close by.
The woman of this couple I've mentioned before as someone who can get talking, and sometimes won't let me speak at all. When this happens, I get really frustrated, because it's not much of a "visit", it's just being hammered by her talking over me, and around me, and through me. Often she can get really worked up about something that's bothering her, like issues with her MIL, or her husband, or her own mother, and it is then a long, long, one-sided rant. It can be painful to listen to.
Thank goodness that tonight at least, she seemed to be in a better mood than I've seen her in for a while, and while she did still talk a fair bit, she DID at least allow others to contribute, and at least her talking wasn't negative.
They brought out all kinds of nice treats (that at least my husband could eat), and lots of different kinds of alcohol (that I tried tiny sips of, since I'm not much of a drinker).
Then we played a few games of a game, that I don't even know if it has a name. It's a home-made board that they use, and marbles, and cards. It's a lot of fun and I think we played it last Christmas or New Year's too.
So, it was a good evening with them both, and nice to be with my friend when she's more "give and take" in conversation than usual.
I learned that "Better Call Saul" has so far been nominated for 53 Emmy awards, but has not WON any of them. This is the last year that it can be eligible, and has indeed been nominated for some, but they are still pending.
I have only been able to watch season 1 so far, but it was SO GOOD. I can't believe it hasn't won any Emmy awards yet (though it has won several other awards).
