Today I am grateful for:

The very beautiful frost that adorned the outdoor world today.

There was an absolute STORM of interest in one item I had posted for free on Marketplace; a child-sized guitar.

It was an item I saved from the landfill that had the neck cleanly separated from the body, and I figured it could be fixed with wood glue. It worked out fine.

Someone committed to meeting today, and now it is on it's way to entertaining some kid instead of cluttering up our home.

I hope that a few of the things I am selling will also move along to new homes.

I met the person at the gas station in town, allowing me to also get fuel and to refill a big bottle with filtered water for the plants and the humidifier.

I actually remembered to write a check for R without dramatic measures. Her cost for board went up a bit, that's not at all surprising but it has done so twice now since we've been there.

River and I had our lesson tonight, and I had a tough time being into it. I'm just feeling the winter blahs big time, and feeling down about things like my clutter, how expensive everything has become, and recent drama with my husband, and just not "feeling it" about much of anything this past week.

Still, the whole having a horse thing is about the only thing that forces me to do something when I feel like this, and it gets me moving and I interact with River and with other people, and it usually helps when it's all said and done.

It was a decent lesson, we got some pointers for getting our circles rounder using just the neck rope (better body language, and asking with the body and leg before using the rope), the need to look up and "into" the circles, better leg position, etc.

He did some good halts from the canter. Showed good enthusiasm for the Spanish Walk (lots of treats) and worked again on improving our draw, remembering that if he tries to turn away to go to his hindquarters to bring him back.

Chatted with R, also about the high cost of having animals.

I came home, and my Sweetie came shortly after. He climbed tonight, and did not work on the house at all.

We watched one episode of "The Expanse".

That's about it.

The first television show to feature a family having a home computer was the Addams Family; they had a UNIVAC computer.
