Today I am grateful for:

There is still beautiful frost on the trees, though I miss seeing the sun. It's been overcast for two days. VERY overcast, as in almost feels like a kind of darkness all day.

That I got to bed a tiny bit earlier last night, and I got up a tiny bit earlier today, thus I was able to get Roxy to her vet appointment.

She's been limping for a while, and it needed to be addressed.

The vet figures it is a partly torn ACL in her hind knee joint, which may improve if we can keep her activity limited for a few weeks. It's hard to say, really. This saddens me quite a bit, as Roxy is a dog who loves her long walks outside, and I love her company. I would hate for that to end.

As it is with so many things, it's more or less out of my control. I can limit her movement for a while, and that's about it.

I did go to the ag store and got some of the wood pellets I use for cat litter and some ice-melt stuff for our walk way. I spent a bit of time petting the fairly aged store cat. She's a little darling, and I make a point of visiting with her when I'm in the store.

Then I went to Winner's. A few weeks ago I was in there, and there was a very nice sweater I liked, but it was a bit pricey. I told myself that it might still be there after Christmas, and it might be on sale. Well, it was significantly on sale, so this time I got it. Also a nice, colorful scarf on clearance that goes with it well, and a plainer blue shirt, also on clearance.

I considered getting groceries, but we are not in dire need, and I will likely be going again on Monday.

My Sweetie was doing a bit of work on the electrical again when we got home. See, this is work that is clean, and can be done in short bursts (one or two outlets at a time). It does not address the larger elephants in the house, like the flooring in the hopefully one day to be bedroom, which is a big, complicated project.

Nope. Instead he is pivoting to the wood stove, where we will have to take stuff out of that area, put up drywall, and probably tile that corner.

Oh well.

I don't know if anything will really be finished, we seem to go to about 75% and abandon a project at that point because it is functional.

We watched some more "The Expanse".

I learned that the Market Street subway system in San Francisco still runs on 1980's computer systems.
