All the love I get to experience when I wake up. I am often surrounded by kitties who are either snuggling out of camaraderie, or perhaps they are protecting my inert form? When I wake up, it's like a happy group of cheer leaders. Then Roxy greets me, and my husband (he usually gets up before I do).
Going to see River (no one around, so I didn't ride), and making sure he got some extra feed, and some time grazing (his pen is mud from all the rain). It's nice to spend time with him like this.
My riding friend was there, so we got to catch up with each other. She just had the vet give her senior horse some joint injections, and they seem to be helping.
Some friends of ours dropping in to see the house. They have a similar path to ours; they are currently living in a trailer and would like to put a house on their property. Maybe moving an existing house would be a viable option for them, too. It's also nice that they were comfortable dropping by in their farm clothes, and that we could all be informal. This is a nice stage of friendship, where we aren't "courting" anymore. They weren't here long, but we had some good conversation about the house, and all the permits and so on. They were willing to help us with tearing down the trailer.
I had been feeling guilty about going to see River today, and not getting any moving done, but then we put a big push on, and managed to move quite a lot of boxes that I had already packed, some jackets, some smaller items like a little storage cabinet and a chair and an easel. Then I pushed myself to pack several more boxes of books and my sweetie just kept taking them out to the sea can.
I feel like we are at a tipping point now. The storage room is almost empty, and I've emptied some closets, and the craft stuff won't be too tough to move because it's all organized into little shoe box sized containers already. Yes, we have pretty well all of the big furniture, but from a psychological standpoint it's the smaller things that are harder to move.
