gottawonderToday I am grateful for:
My Sweetie got up and worked for a while with the guys on the soffits/fascia, but it was cold and rainy, so they only got so far.
We were planning on going to the city in the afternoon anyhow, so they worked until just after noon.
I got up and started getting ready, did some dishes and so on, and my Sweetie let everyone out into the pasture for a while.
By the time we were ready to go, we brought them back in.
I'm trying really hard to make sure Wonder gets out into the larger pasture for a while every day with Dandy, since she has to spend a lot of time in the "dry lot" with no grass. This is her time to be a normal horse.
We went to the city and first stopped in at the animal "pharmacy" (has everything for all kinds of animals) and picked up some zinc cream for River's pink nose and probiotics for Sprite (kitty with tummy issues).
Then we went to the art gallery, and I was a bit disappointed that they had not put up the new installation, but we revisited the others, and still enjoyed it. I like the chance to see the same exhibit more than once, as you see different things each time. Also, we do have memberships, so why not?
I really like how my husband goes with me to things like the art gallery, and he seems to get a lot out of it, not just doing it for me. We have had a lot of good conversations about what we see there.
Then we met up with a woman who was selling colored charcoal that I was interested in.
Then we stopped in at an art supply place, and I got some tubes of acrylics.
Then we got supper at a "copper branch" (healthy chain), which was good.
We went to the bookstore a few doors down from the restaurant, and I didn't get any books, but found good DVDs (subjectively so). I found the first several seasons of "Justified", and if that's any good it can be our next series to watch together.
We also found "Hobo with a Shotgun", which is pretty darn awful (we watched it when we got home), but this is what my husband loves, and I am....okay with....sometimes. Sigh. I kind of enjoy making fun of these bad movies, and they are meant to be SO AWFUL that they're silly.
They are also just kind of awful. Very "grindhouse, B movie" material.
