Today I am grateful for:

Gentle rain.

Getting some tidying done before going to the barn. I vacuumed and did some laundry.

I went to see River for our lesson. We spent quite a lot of time working on the turn on the forehand, which is difficult, and went through our freestyle pattern all the way through with music.

I'm happy that we are under the time limit, to the point where we could add something. I was worried that we'd go over four minutes.

The freestyle flows nicely, and works with the music.

I need to come up with something for a costume. More or less "80's" is our theme, as the song is "Take on me" by A-ha!

I'm thinking just a simple white shirt splattered with florescent paint, and same for River (non-toxic finger or tempura paint).

Maybe leg warmers, if I can find them.

I came home and spent some time combing out Dandy's very thick mane.

Then we watched two episodes of "Justified", and they were a bit better than the first two.

Wow leg warmers, I remember those! I wonder if you could make some from old leggings or pants or something?

Yeah, I was wondering the same. On the other hand, I have to do a lot of running and riding, and the leg warmers might be in the way.

I am working on the spattered shirt though, and it's looking very 80's so far.

Have fun at the shirts turning out well! If you have the extra energy and time maybe try basic leg warmers to see if they'll be in your way and if not then figure out how to 80's them up?
