Today I am grateful for:

Good weather. Pretty warm and sunny.

I got up still in a bad mood from how our conversation went last night about moving the furniture out of the living room so we can set it up as a temporary bedroom and push ahead with the future bedroom.

I know I turn into a kind of monster about getting things done, but what other choice do I have? Smile and be happy with almost no progress?

I was so overwhelmed by everything that I shut down for a while, because I'm just burned out.

When I did get up, we were going to go to the dump and get rid of the part of the tree we cut down last week, which is still on the trailer.

I wanted to add a whole bunch of stuff from the garden shed, because IT is so full that I can't get to anything useful that is still stored in there.

I knew that I wanted to take a bunch of those plant trays and plastic pots that you get when you buy bedding plants. I had a lot from the last couple of years.

I also wanted to get rid of pretty much all of the jars I had for canning, because I really don't can that much. I was keeping those spaghetti sauce jars, and every jar people gave us, and I DON'T CAN THAT MUCH.

My Sweetie was finally loaded up the big pile of laminate flooring that we saved from the trailer tear down. It was taking up a LOT of room in the garage, and that was one of the things we talked about last night, just getting rid of it because no one wanted it. We tried giving it away on Marketplace, and no one wants it.

So. I kind of started at the front of the garden shed and just pulled out all the stuff that I knew I didn't want. The pile just kept getting bigger. Some of this was stuff that I didn't know if I wanted to keep even when I put it in there, and since we've been so busy with the house, I haven't had time to make a better decision.

I pulled out all the plant pots and trays (and I actually do get rid of them regularly, these hadn't built up for more than a couple of years), I pulled out a ton of jars, I pulled out a cat tree that I have nowhere to put it, and some old calendars I kept for sentimental reasons, and some stuff my husband didn't want, and it was a good pile of stuff.

The first trip to the dump was mostly regular household garbage, the garbage out of the garage, some things from that carport that's been bugging me, and the laminate flooring.

The second trip to the dump was everything from the garden shed. What's kind of awful, is that it's not like that shed is really all that empty after taking an entire truck load out of it. It's still pretty full, but now I can at least move around in there, and get rid of some other stuff.

We did get rid of the trailer load of branches, but because the fire pit was closed for maintenance, we had to break it all into smaller pieces and throw it in the regular bins. What a stupid extra job to have to do.

What was nice, is that the woman who works at the dump let me set the plant pots aside, because some people use those to start plants at home. She figured her sister might want the canning jars, and she said she would use the cat tree.

So, that had been my hope, is that some of the stuff that wasn't really GARBAGE might at least get a second chance. Thrift stores wouldn't have wanted any of that stuff, but I know it was still usable if someone wanted it. I just don't need it.

Then we came home, I let everyone out into their pastures for a while.

Then, we actually did move the couch (a loveseat) down into the basement, though there is other stuff that has to come out of that room to make it a temporary bedroom.

After all was said and done, my husband might not like it when I am angry and motivated, but we do seem to actually get something done.

Then we watched "The Fall Guy", which I really enjoyed. Growing up back when there were real stunts done in movies, you can appreciate them in this movie, which really is a love letter to stunt people.
