That the rain held off until evening, so we got a few things done today.
We did have a LAZY start to the day, but you know what? We're allowed!
We did still get some things done. I got quite a lot of mowing done, which is good because later it rained, and I won't be able to mow again for a few days.
My Sweetie built a rack for holding our kayaks/canoe out of various lumber, which is GREAT, because it's kind of a two birds with one stone thing. It's a rack for our stuff, AND it uses up some random lumber.
Then we went to the barn to see River. R was running around trying to make everything perfect before this busy week with our guest clinician, and we chatted with her for a while.
Ruby the cat, is still recovering from her mis-adventures. I don't think her wounds are infected, but I bet she has some bruising or other trauma. She seems kind of...beat up looking?
The horses were a bit on edge, maybe because of the weather. Once I got River into the arena (once again too wet to work in the outdoor) and did some ground work he was okay.
He did really well today. I saw improvement on him turning on his forehand (bringing the HQ around), better small liberty circles (we ran through the "four pylon" course and it was improved) and we went through our freestyle pattern and it felt pretty good.
A nice, positive session.
We came home and watched an episode of "Justified".
