gottawonderToday I am grateful for:
Beautiful weather. A little warmer, but not muggy.
I managed to get up early enough to do home chores and go audit other people's lessons again today.
It was another long day, I stayed at the barn from just after noon to about 8 pm.
It was great to watch people's progress, as the whole structure of this week is for those who bought lessons on all three days ($$$$) you could follow their progress.
Everyone has made some pretty big progress, so it all seems to be worth having brought this trainer all this way to work with us.
Ruby the barn cat is still alive, and looks a little better. Poor thing. Earl the barn cat, who is very old, is looking pretty rough, but he's still a very sweet creature. I've been feeling that sad feeling of how every day with him is precious.
After everything wrapped up, I worked with River again, and tried the exercise to encourage him to stay with me more energetically, but it's going to be hard to make this his new habit. We are getting better small liberty circles, but it takes him a few looser laps first still.
Overall, I still felt like he was really giving me a lot of effort today, so that's good.
My Sweetie stopped in at the barn as I was finishing up (on his bike), and then he went to ride with his cycling buddy who lives near the barn.
I got home and started supper, and when my Sweetie got home we watched an episode of "Justified".
