Jul. 12th, 2024 12:50 amToday I am grateful for:
Not needing to go anywhere today.
The weather is hot, but not as bad as yesterday. This is still fairly reasonable.
I still was judicious in my activity. I let everyone out into their pastures and I pulled grass and weeds. My goal became to clear away the long grass from around the perennial bed near the garden, and lay down a layer of cardboard. The cardboard doesn't help for long, I seem to have to redo it every year. Oh well.
My Sweetie got home a little early today, and met with a guy who does eaves trough work. They came to an agreement, and at some point in the next couple of weeks when he has time, this person is going to do our eaves troughs.
I kept going with the grass pulling, and watered the garden, and my Sweetie mowed lawn for quite some time, which is nice.
I spent a bit of time just sitting by the compost pile, observing the snakes. They are so cool. If you sit still they come out and move around.
I came in before my Sweetie did, started supper and changed the sheets.
Then we watched some "Justified". If anyone feels bored, check out Timothy Oliphant's interviews with Conan O'Brian. It helps if you know who he is, but this guy is so funny, and his banter with Conan is great. One of the better guests for sheer entertainment value.
