Aug. 6th, 2024 12:24 amToday I am grateful for:
Cooler temperatures just under 20 C. It did rain last night, a good amount finally. We're so parched around here that it is all soaked up already, and there wasn't any mud. It should help our poor, dry raspberry patch.
My husband left today for Toronto and got there safely in the early evening. He is doing several days of specific safety training for the battery plant his company is likely going to help build. He probably won't be able to see anything besides the inside of the building where the training will be, and isn't taking any extra tourist days this time.
I went to town for groceries and recreational shopping, and it was very pleasant and unhurried.
I came home, and chose not to let everyone out into their pastures because it looked like we might get another thunder storm, but it didn't end up storming.
I did go have a nap, which I needed.
R texted to let me know she found the cribbing collar I repaired, and she's really happy with it. I'm glad I could fix it, because she said that it's the only one she ever found that fits their pony, and without it he would go back to cribbing again, which is a pretty bad habit.

Date: 2024-08-06 09:47 pm (UTC)I don't know if he'll have time to see anything. He might have a few hours in the evenings, but he has to be in bed fairly early, as his days start early.
