Today I am grateful for:

Cool weather, and rainy in the early evening and onwards.

A lazy start to the day, and my Sweetie making breakfast for me and feeding the cats and Roxy so they left me alone to sleep another hour.

I decided to evaluate the small shed I was talking about, to see if it could be better organized and maybe some things tossed. If I could make it available to store a few things from the garage, it might help to make room for a pottery wheel in the garage.

The other thing, is if it prompts my husband to start evaluating things in the garage, maybe he will get rid of some things too. He has a lot of things in there that he's just hanging on to out of sentimentality, though he THINKS that he doesn't do that.

The getting rid of things needs to be something we are always doing, maybe not on a huge scale, but we take in new things all the time, so that does mean that other things need to be moved along. I do NOT want to be one of those couples who one day is faced with a monumental task of clearing the property under duress.

I'm fine with having lots of things, as long as those things are still in usable condition and still serve us in some way.

So I did find a couple of boxes of miscellaneous aquarium plastic hose and other stuff that might not be useful to anyone after sitting in that shed for over 15 years. Some odds and ends of things that were not useful or beautiful.

Then I arranged what was left in a better way, and there's enough room now to put in some shelves and hopefully make some space in the garage.

I also took two smaller area rugs out of that shed and started washing them outside, and if they don't look horrible I might use them, or I might pass them on to someone else to use.

In and around that I was doing laundry.

I did let everyone out into their pastures for a while.

Then I went to see River, and my Sweetie stayed home to work on the tile in the basement where the wood stove will go.

I was at the barn later than usual because of trying to get something done in the shed, so no one else was outside.

It was raining, so River's breathing was good, and the rain sounds so nice on the tent like roof of the indoor arena.

I had a very good session with River, very quiet and in tune. He did really well on our work today, and I felt very connected with him.

I came home and my Sweetie made supper and we chatted and watched some "Kids in the Hall" on YouTube, since he couldn't stay up to watch anything long.
