Oct. 6th, 2024 12:23 amToday I am grateful for:
Quite a nice day. Warm and sunny.
A lazy start to the day.
That Roxy seems to be doing well today. She spent the day outside with us as we did things, and seemed comfortable and content. As I've said, it will take time to know if she's recovered or not. Right now she's still on pills that protect her stomach.
I took our living room rug outside and washed it as well as I could with our pressure washer. It just SMELLED, and that's not surprising as Roxy likes to sleep on that rug all the time, and Roxy is a bona fide indoor/outdoor dog with access to manure.
I think it looks a lot better after being washed. It will have to stay outside and dry for a while.
I also re-washed one of the small area rugs I tried washing a while ago, I don't think I did a very good job the first time.
My husband worked on the little peak over the front door again. It's not finished yet, but it's closer.
Then I took the big length of weeping tile (basically flexible plastic hose) and spray painted white bands on it, to make it look more like the big snake from Beetle juice.
Last night I was able to find a good downloader so that I could get the two Harry Belafonte songs from YouTube. No, I don't have Spotify or anything. It worked, so now at least I have the music for the freestyle. I'm not sure which of the songs I'll use, I am HOPING to figure out an online music program to splice them so I can make one four minute song from them. Sigh.
I also pulled more weeds and grass out of the areas that are mulched with bark. The mulch really isn't doing that much to keep them out. I mean, it's not like how it would be if there were no mulch at all, but there's a lot of weeds.
We came in, ate, and watched "The Spiderwick Chronicles" movie, which was okay.
