Not needing to go anywhere today.
I decided to call Trainwreck, to see how she's settling into her new place. It was a surprisingly non-traumatic call, and she's doing okay but sounds like she doesn't know what to do with herself. She doesn't really have any hobbies and isn't the kind of person to go play cards in the common room. She's not the kind of person to seek out community things, or go to a museum, or a park. She's going to have to figure something out on her own, and it's not like there aren't any options now that she's in a bigger town.
I did assorted small tasks mostly. Things like dumping out the dirt from a failed terrarium jar project, and putting the jar away for the next time I want to try a terrarium project.
I did two load of laundry and got them folded and put away. Some vacuuming.
Took the bag of recyclables out to the bin.
Changed the cat litter.
When my Sweetie got home I got his help to take the big aquarium that had been Thistle's home outside to the garden shed, as well as the stand it was sitting on.
We pulled the last of the root vegetables out of the garden, and cleared some of the grass and weeds out.
I let everyone out into their pastures for a while.
I was going to work with Wonder and Dandy, but the neighbors were moving cattle past our place and Wonder was far too wound up for me to do anything with her.
We did walk around the horse pasture for a while, and picked up more branches and such from mowing it, and put those on the burn pile (we'll burn some old hay and such once there's some snow to lower the risk of the fire spreading).
Late last night I worked with the clay I brought home from the studio that was too hard to use last time. I figured that if I can at least have the clay conditioned when I go next time, that will mean I might be able to throw instead of use up all my time on the clay.
So, a fairly quiet and undramatic day.
