gottawonderToday I am grateful for:
A nice enough day, weather wise. Cool but the air is cleaner since we got a bit of rain. Sunny.
I put two or three things away, my small contribution to clearing clutter today.
Roxy seems comfortable and in good spirits, eating and pooping with pleasing vigor.
Roxy and I walked around the horse pasture for a while before I went to see River.
River was in a decent mood today, though not all that responsive in our work. In trying to synchronize our movements to the chosen music, I think I need to take something out to fit the music better. I'm out of time when I need to hop on for the ridden part.
I did my best to stay upbeat, and ended our session with several draws/rewards that are meant to be easy and pleasant to reinforce the connection.
I did stay and work with Maverick, and worked on his yields and side passes. He has a lot of trouble with those. He was nippy today, which is surprising as this isn't usually like him. I did correct him, but I wonder if it means something.
The woman with health challenges did well in her work. She's riding an actual horse now, not a pony, though with plenty of supervision from R.
I came home and my Sweetie came shortly after. We caught up on each other's day, ate, and watched some "Justitified".
