Though I didn't get much sleep, we were able to get some things done.
My husband got up before I did to take our friend (the one with the recent heart attack) out to breakfast and apparently they went to the city to go to Princess Auto. Sigh. Of course they did.
It was mainly to get our friend out of the house, as he hasn't been allowed to drive this week, and has been stuck at home with his wife, which can get rough if there is no break from each other.
When he got home we loaded the truck and went to the dump. Of course I forgot to toss in the two boxes of miscellaneous aquarium stuff that I took out of the garden shed. I'm not sure why this was such a burning priority for my husband, other than it always feels like he accomplished something, as it wasn't THAT big a load.
We did help the people next to us empty a pretty big trailer of garbage from their home renovations.
When we got home we started cleaning the garage. We're ALWAYS CLEANING THE GARAGE. I managed to get him to throw a few things on the truck for the next trip to the dump, but a fair bit of things went into the cab to go to the ReStore or the thrift store, when really he's just passing on to them the job of throwing it out.
I guess as long as it's out of OUR space.
I worked on cleaning out the larger garden shed. I cleaned out the smaller one (yes, there are two) recently, and several weeks ago I had done some work on this larger shed and tossed several things.
Today I did come up with a box of items to go to either the ReStore or Thrift store, and filled a garbage bin with broken crap, put things away in a better configuration to make more room, and swept.
This last year I have gotten rid of a fair amount of stuff out of the garden shed, and it's finally feeling like I can get to things in there more easily, which also helps a person to get things out to get rid of them.
At the end of our cleaning session, there is a decent space for the pottery wheel, which we moved to that spot, and we'll see how that goes.
Through all of this, I was able to let everyone out into their pastures, and then I worked with Wonder and Dandy.
I had put an item to be sold from the garden shed onto Marketplace, a nice little tool box that we've never needed or used, for dirt cheap. Right away I had some time wasting jerk try to immediately talk down my already low price, then try to come get it tonight, which I grudgingly agreed to even though it was already getting into supper time, and when I set a boundary of how late we would be available he wanted to meet later than that. I said if he was ready to pick it up before 8 pm we'd work something out, and when he didn't text me by 8 I blocked him. What an entitled jerk.
I've already had a lot of interest in it, which tells me I listed it for too cheap, but that's okay. It's a nice tool box, but it's sat in our shed unused for well over a decade.
Then we came inside and ate, and watched an episode of "Justified". The writing has been a LOT better this season, of course it's the last season too.
