To those who generally read my journal, I recently posted some videos about River and I doing our Beetlejuice freestyle, and our Halloween obstacle course.

I did deliberately post them in an isolated post since I KNOW my regular posts are very long and probably mostly of interest to myself.

These videos are both short, about four minutes each, but they mean a lot to me. I worked very hard on the costume, the music, and the choreography, and though it might look kinda boring, to anyone who works with horses you'd see that a lot of work has gone into getting River relaxed around everything and responsive to being ridden with just a neck rope.

I'm not doing any of this to fish for compliments, but I see this journal as a way to share moments of my life to a group of people that mean something to me.

I take the time to read your journals and to share your moments, please let me know that you have done the same for me. I worked for over a month on the freestyle, and it would mean a lot to me if you would take the time to at least share a personal victory.

NOT ONE OF YOU LEFT ANY KIND OF COMMENT on the original post, and after all the obvious work I've posted here, I thought SOMEONE would take the time to say something nice.

So, here's the post of my videos. Again.

This first video is the freestyle River and I did for Halloween. While his energy level was REALLY LOW in this one, for what reason I do not know, I appreciate how well he tolerated the temporary hair dye I used on him, and my crazy outfit, and dragging the big "snake" around. He did everything I asked of him, even though he was REALLY SLOW. I learned how to edit the music so I could make it closer to four minutes to enter into our virtual show, and while it's not perfect, it's PRETTY COOL that I figured that out in one night. My husband had to do a lot of work finding free software and downloading it first. It takes a village. Or I guess at least a dynamic duo.

This is the fun obstacle course (not competitive) that R put together for Halloween this year. She does this every year, and comes up with fun, "spooky" elements like the inflated cat at the back and the skeleton hanging from the "gate", and of course, my big snake got a second use. River seemed to be in a pretty good mood for this one.
