Saturday, November 9
Nov. 10th, 2024 12:17 amToday I am grateful for:
How is it already the ninth of November! It literally feels like it was JUST BARELY November.
A good day in the city with my Sweetie.
He was supposed to help our friend go drag crap out of the bush at his parent's farm, but his plans changed and they didn't go do that.
We did go to the city, with no solid plan other than to go have fun together.
I was trying to meet up with a woman to give her a bunch of fabric that I have had forever and not used for anything, since she quilts, but today didn't work out. We were headed in different directions. We'll keep trying.
First we went to an animal supply place to get more probiotics for one of cats (it seems to be helping. She used to throw up all the time, and does not now that she gets probiotics every day), and big dog harnesses to try on the goats, since we do sometimes have to walk them to the garage in the winter, and it might be nice to walk them in the horse pasture. I don't know if they will really enjoy being walked, we'll see.
Then we went to a mall, I got some books, and some eyeshadow. Kind of frivolous, but hey.
Then we went for supper at a place we go to in rotation (we have maybe four places we go to that are vegetarian/vegan) and chatted with the owner. It's nice when you eat somewhere and it belongs to a single person/family, and it's not some big chain. He seemed really happy to be finally running his own place, cooking food that makes him happy.
Then we walked from there to the used book store, and kind of browsed. They sell DVDS pretty inexpensively, so we got a few. No books from there today, as we got books at the other store.
Then we came home. It was slushy raining on our way home, so when I got home I ran out to put a blanket on Wonder. She doesn't seem to stay out of the rain even though she has a shelter, so she was soaked.
Horses do okay with cold, but not wet cold, and that near zero weather with rain can be pretty cold for them.
We watched one of the movies, "Casanova" (the adaptation with Heath Ledger and Sienna Miller), and I'm fairly sure we've watched it before (it's possible we do have the DVD somewhere) and it's hilarious. Lots of fun.
