Though grey and fairly cold today, not too bad if you keep moving.
I finally felt like I got some sleep. Almost every day this past week I had to shave about two hours off of my sleep, and didn't always sleep well. Sleep deficit makes me USELESS after a while.
I didn't have a "stay at home" day last week, and I like having one of those every week, where I don't have to go anywhere or do anything pressing, and can get good and bored and maybe even have a nap.
I worked with Dandy and Wonder today, and Wonder only left twice, and then settled down. It's funny, you can really tell when she just decides that it's fine to stay with me, her whole demeanor changes. I was able to walk all over the pasture with both Dandy and Wonder once they decided it was okay, which is pretty cool.
I'm doing this at Liberty, so they are walking with me without lead ropes. That means they have to "rate" my steps to stay with me, and I often zig zag a bit or do a circle to keep their attention.
Then I worked with just Wonder in the round pen for a while, and she really stayed with me to go around the pylons at a walk. I am trying to get her to trot with me, though because she is a Tennessee Walker it will be some kind of other gait, and I'll have to see if it will work. She is very reluctant to speed up to stay with me, but so was River, and he got over it. Dandy will trot beside me.
Anyhow, a good session with them.
I dug out some of the actual winter blankets for River, since we are supposed to get some colder weather this week. I washed one blanket and liner in our big utility sink in the mud room. Sheesh, the blanket was heavy when it's wet.
I was having a nap with little Jones tucked under the blanket with me when my Sweetie got home from work/rock climbing.
We had supper and watched more "Scooby Doo".
