Dec. 29th, 2024 02:44 amToday I am grateful for:
The mild weather is still holding.
We went to the city today, mainly for my husband so he could go to the climbing gym.
He still really wanted me to find something to do, which is usually shopping, but it ended up feeling kind of forced.
I didn't really feel the need to shop today, but ended up doing so to make him feel like I was getting something out of being in the city, which seems really weird to me.
We went to the city too late in the day to get to the art gallery, which would have been my choice of what to do today.
We really didn't have any reason to be in the city, other than for him to go to the climbing gym.
He probably just should have gone to the city and went to his gym on his own, but I guess he feels too guilty about doing that?
Kind of too bad there isn't another climbing gym closer to us that he could go to, BUT, this is also HIS gym and he likes it.
We went to one of our fairly regular places to eat. It's nice because it is owned by a single person, not a chain. The owner comes out and takes the orders and so on, and the last couple of times we've chatted with him for quite a while, since we end up being there at "slower" times when there aren't a lot of tables full.
The owner seems like a pretty nice guy, he's from India, and it's great that he got to open his own place. I like supporting a place like this.
Afterwards we did go to the climbing gym, and I think my Sweetie enjoyed himself. There were some other people there tonight that he knew, so I got to meet them.
Then we came home and watched "Mission Impossible: Fallout". Tom Cruise might be completely nuts and owned by a cult, but he makes great movies. I even stayed awake for this one!
