Jan. 15th, 2025 12:53 amToday I am grateful for:
Getting very good sleep. I was dreaming, which is a good sign that I was sleeping properly.
I felt okay today. I'm still somewhat "aware" of a slight sensation in my chest, but that could be just because of worry.
I did dishes, and regular chores. I brought Dandy over to be with Wonder while I went to the barn.
About the time I was heading to the barn my Sweetie arrived home. We chatted for a while, and he was going to work on an outlet in the kitchen.
So he's doing one of the things that he does, which is to have several very different projects going on at the same time, and I partly to blame for this one because I wanted to get rid of the shelf in the kitchen. I just didn't realize that it would spur a whole THING.
I thought my husband would just take down the shelf, put in the cabinet, easy peasy. No. He is now installing a new outlet on that wall, and one on the other side of the same wall (inside the pantry, because lord knows we needed an outlet in the pantry...?). He's got everything all torn up and it's becoming a bigger project that is going to take weeks, not days.
That means nothing will happen in that bedroom now, and I HOPE that at least when we work on this area in the kitchen that it gets ALL THE WAY DONE, not 90% done to a point of functionality, then abandoned.
I went to the barn, and R was around. We worked in the arena together, which is okay, but it means I can hardly do anything with River because she was working with two horses doing Liberty, and taking up the entire space.
So I don't know what I accomplished with River. Not much. He did pay attention to me well, and didn't get distracted by the other horses. That part is good to practice.
R had a chance to try the saddles I brought her, and she REALLY liked the dressage saddle, it fit the horses she needed it for, and she felt comfortable in it. The need a saddle for lessons with bigger people, as several of her students are growing up and becoming tall folks.
So I sold it to her, for about what I paid for it years ago (I haven't been using it). I hope it works out well for them.
I came home and my husband was deeply frustrated over the wiring, but I think he got it sorted out. We didn't have time to watch anything, but we ate, talked, and then he had to go to bed.
