Today I am grateful for:

Getting up a little earlier than usual for me, that gave us more time to go to the city today.

I talked a bit with Sister E, and it was pleasant.

We did chores and such, and headed into the city. No strong agenda, just to enjoy the day.

I donated a big bag of books to the thrift store that supports the women's addiction center, and found a very nice necklace, a knit cotton sweater, and an enormous umbrella that I hope to be able to use in a freestyle with River, if he is comfortable with it.

Then we went to the art gallery, and focused on one exhibit that was new. It was very interesting.

Then we walked over to Winner's, and I didn't find anything there, but it was nice to walk around.

We had supper at one of the three/four places we eat in rotation, and that was nice. The serving person asked if we would do a short interview to be used on social media about how we met and so on, for their Valentine's Day promotion. I thought that was cute. We probably sounded nuts, but what do you do.

We went to the used book store and I found a couple of potentially good reads, as well as season two of The Knick. We still need the rest of season one, but hey. This is a start.

Then we stopped in at a liquor store, my husband said this place was supposed to have a good selection of whiskey. The person working there actually let us have tiny samples of some different brands. I don't think I've ever been to a store that did that. They had a bunch of sample bottles on a shelf behind the till. Kind of nice to have some idea what they taste like before you buy something.

I got a shiraz, which I had a small glass when we got home. It's very nice flavor without being very sweet.

We watched a fun movie called "The Losers" that we've watched multiple times before, and it's still good.
