A good day at home with my Sweetie.
We WERE going to go to town and do pottery today, but we were kind of lazy getting going today, and it ended up feeling like we wouldn't have enough time to do anything and chose to stay home.
Also, it was below -25 C today with a sharp wind. It's hard to feel okay about going for a drive in that weather if you didn't really need to do it.
So, instead my Sweetie did a bunch of baking so he'd have pumpkin loaf and pumpkin cookies for lunches. He also made kind of pumpkin soup which wasn't the pureed creamy kind, more like vegetable soup with lots of pumpkin in it.
He also baked the seeds for me. MMMmmm.
While he was doing that, I did a bunch of odd little tasks. He has a meter for reading electrical current that he uses for doing wiring in the house, but you can use it to test batteries. We have a drawer full of batteries, some used some new. I never know which ones are dead, so today I used this meter to find all the dead ones and put them into a container for recycling.
Then I cleaned out my purse. I had to laugh at the fact that I had a dozen granola bars in there "just in case". I thought it was feeling a bit full in there.
I put everything from the purse into a box to be sorted later, and washed the purse. It's a nylon "traveler's" purse, so it's completely washable. I've likely had it for over ten years, and it's still in great shape.
Then I cleaned my girth that I use with the bareback pad. It's a normal leather girth. I saddle soaped it then oiled it.
It kind of took a long time for supper tonight, so we ate quite late, at around 9 pm.
Then we watched part of "Furiousa", and by then my Sweetie was already breaking his resolution to try to get more sleep, so I made him pause it, and we'll watch the rest probably tomorrow.
I'm kind of "meh" about what I've seen already, but it's more about the visuals I guess.
