My sweetie and our friend kept going with the trailer tear down, and took three more loads of material to the dump.
My sweetie also hooked up our clothes washer outside so that it won't fill up the septic tank. It won't hurt anything to let the water run onto the ground; I use very mild detergent, no bleach. My Mom used to do this with our washer, too. I remember my brother and I playing in the water from it as kids. The water eventually carved out a bowl about 2 ft deep, and it was one of our favorite places to play in the summer.
A good trip to town. I got the mail, went to the pharmacy, dropped a bunch of stuff off at the thrift store as well as finding some different things to take home (including a very well made bath robe, and another bath robe for my Mom that I suspect is exactly like the threadbare one she's been nursing along).
I think I found a hand lotion in the "original scent" that my Mom was saying she couldn't find at the drug store in the small town where she lives. She tried seeing if they would bring it in for her, but they made it sound like they didn't make it anymore. Anyhow, I got a bottle, and if it's not what she wants, I'll use it.
I tried on some pants at the thrift store in my "normal" size, and they were way too big for me. Even my stretchy sweat pants that are my uniform at home are loose on me now. I have no idea if I can maintain this weight once I'm not working like an insane person every day moving boxes up and down stairs or tearing down a building, but right now I'm smaller than I've been in ten years.
Getting a massive grocery run accomplished. We were out of EVERYTHING, and we're so busy right now I really don't want to have to go get groceries again this week. I got two of everything we normally use, and some extra frozen stuff to make meals from since we don't have much energy to do more than that right now. I also got some stuff with more calories in it for my sweetie, since he's working really hard right now. It was a shocking amount of food for one grocery trip, but I am TIRED of trying to make supper and we don't have anything to eat but things that require a lot of work to cook. Also, my husband did the last couple of "grocery runs", but when he shops, he barely buys anything. He literally just buys eggs and fruit and maybe one thing to cook for supper. At some point, I just have to go shopping because I'll actually buy enough food to matter. It literally requires a great deal of physical strength and stamina to grocery shop like this. I am grateful to have a vehicle; I used to have to walk to get groceries. I am grateful we have the means to buy groceries, and the availability of good food to choose from.
For all of my sweet animals. Their joy is my joy.
For watching "The Other Boleyn Girl", and it is visually gorgeous.
