Today I am grateful for:

More gorgeous weather. A person could get used to this.

A good night's sleep.

I chose to talk to Trainwreck, and it was kind of meh. Some of it was fine. Then she brought up her adult son and his completely dysfunctional family. She makes it sound like his family's problems come from NOWHERE.

I kind of suggested..you know, that maybe he was never given good skills for living from...you know...her.

That fell on deaf ears. According to Trainwreck she was the BEST MOM EVER.

Then she goes on to trash Sister N and HER dysfunctional kids, because...you know...she was a terrible Mom.

Wow. MAYBE YOU WEREN'T a great parent, given that you pretty much never had a job for more than a few months, moved many, many times in the kid's lifetimes, hoarded up each place so badly that they were living in garbage and rodents, lived with one asshole after another that probably abused the kids to some degree, or at the very least ignored them, and there was never any money, never any stability, they probably didn't have clean clothes most of the time, or regular meals, any help with homework or how to live life, they had to watch you neglect animals and yourself, and when you weren't drunk and passed out you were always on the edge of a mental breakdown, yelling and screaming and crying.

YUP. Mom of the year, every year.

When I took things in that direction, she shut it down. "I don't want to talk about them anymore".

I did a few household things. I changed the sheets, washed two of the pillows, and then went outside.

I did chores, and focused on getting the ever emerging pony poop hauled away. I took four big sled loads over to the compost pile. As the snow melts, more poop from the winter emerges. I can probably do this every couple of days now for a couple of weeks.

By then my Sweetie came home. He went straight into the kitchen and sanded while I stayed outside with Roxy.

When I got in, it was time to start supper, and finish the "Neverwhere" mini-series.

I spent some time upstairs putting together some craft things to donate to a woman from the riding barn who is going to Africa to be an amputee mentor with a group that works with kids. She had posted a wish list, and I know I have some of those things that I can donate.
