Mar. 1st, 2025 12:28 amToday I am grateful for:
Lovely weather.
Getting good sleep.
It was so bizarre to read about the Zelensky meeting with the U.S. today. It doesn't even seem like it could really have happened like this, and there's nothing to intervene.
I did speak with Sister E today. She had a scare; she was cooking in the stove, and a wooden trivet went in under a tray of chicken by accident, and got hot enough to make embers and a lot of smoke. I guess it wouldn't have caught the house on fire, but it's still scary.
I did chores, and went to the small town nearby for fuel, and then went to the barn to see River.
He did really well today. I did a bit of work with the pylons and he stayed with me nice and close, so right away I rewarded him and left it there so he wouldn't be burnt out on it.
Then he also did really well on our Liberty circles, not drifting out. Yay!
I stood for a count of thirty, and he was very relaxed. He yawned and released the whole time I was standing.
Then I worked with the umbrella while mounted, and he was calm with that. I even allowed it to fall to the ground, and if I bent over a bit I could pick it up again. Very nice.
Then I stayed and worked with the mare called Amber during the young woman with health challenges' lesson time. Amber tried to be a bit lazy with me, but I was firm with her and got her to canter on the lunge line.
Then I came home, returned Dandy to his usual pen, and my Sweetie had supper ready.
We watched the "King Arthur" with Charlie Hunnan in it, and that was pretty good. Jude Law makes a hot villain.
