Today I am grateful for:

Very nice temperatures still.

To wake with that particular quality of sunshine that is the herald of Spring.

That I got good sleep last night, and felt like waking up a little earlier.

I still felt weird about all the events surrounding pottery (thus my other post about trying to find perspective).

I spent more time cleaning manure out of the pony/goat pen, and got two more sleds full to the compost pile.

My Sweetie came home, and together we trimmed Sasha's (goat) feet. They seem to grow very quickly, and she doesn't seem to wear them down at all. They ARE in a pen of soft dirt.

Going to see River really helped pull me out of that looping thought pattern.

R had the truck hooked up to their trailer, and I was able to practice loading River. I didn't close the divider or anything, but I loaded him twice into the trailer with no issues. He was super happy to just be in there getting treats.

Then I worked with him in the arena on our usual stuff, and he did feel distracted a bit, and not very focused, but that could have been my own mood being reflected. He did do well with the umbrella work, and though he started out sloppy with the side pass I corrected him and got better results.

I did stand for a count of thirty.

I simply cannot imagine having the confidence that someone like Ben Atkinson has while he's Roman riding, one foot on each horse, and now doing that bridleless. Incredible.

I came home, returned Dandy to his usual pen, and went inside.

My Sweetie had supper ready, and we ate together and chatted.

My Sweetie has been feeling a bit yucky, though he still went to work. He's just run down. It's hard for him to get enough sleep.
