Today I am grateful for:

Decent sleep.

Not feeling too rushed. I wanted to go to town for pottery, but didn't have three or four other errands to do, just pottery and then groceries.

It snowed last night, and at least it got colder so it was nice snow and not ice or slush. The horses were able to dry out.

I did get to pottery, and talked with a woman from my class time that I usually don't get to talk with that much.

She had a lot of the same concerns and feelings that I have about the current situation with so many people using the studio, and S doing so much of the work herself, but I don't know that this woman does much to let the executive know her opinions.

I did make a point of mentioning the recent email to her, and hopefully she'll reply in a way that reflects her opinions.

I glazed a teapot, and I decorated and glazed another vase. Hopefully they turn out.

I chatted with the woman that I do often see from the class after ours; she usually comes in early enough that I see her.

Then I popped into Winner's, found a few things.

Then I got groceries, and one thing I noticed is that some brands of eggs had really increased their prices while others had not. I didn't bother to find out if the expensive ones were from the U.S, or if it was just some Canadian brands trying the same BS on us as they did in the U.S. (which has been proven to be nothing more than greed, not a price increase from the bird flu or anything, just money-grabbing greed).

I feel like I get tired and a little depressed when I shop for groceries. A lot of things just keep getting more and more expensive, and I know that most of that increase is not based on "it costs more to produce". Most of the increases are just greed. IT'S FOOD. PEOPLE NEED FOOD! How can you baselessly increase the cost of something so essential?

I am grateful to be able to buy food, when probably a lot of people are struggling right now.

I do make a point of donating to the food bank when I get groceries, but it makes me sad that we live in a pretty wealthy country, and there aren't laws against inflation of food prices.

I came home and my Sweetie helped put away the groceries and he made supper. We chatted for a while before he went to bed.
