New pattern with River and I.

gottawonderThis is the latest pattern we recorded. Yes, River looks pretty pokey, but that's how he rolls. He's pokey.
We did a pretty good job on it overall, as far as being correct, even if he was slow (we'll lose a lot of points for that, likely).
I'm pretty happy that we were able to do it with not a lot of preparation or practice, and it is NOT an easy pattern.
What makes it tricky: going from a walk to getting him to do a trot circle, and he has to go around me for the trot circle.
In easier patterns, you would do a circle like that while "drawing" him, or going with him and doing the circle beside him.
The halts from a trot, while you are also doing a circle. The horse mentally wants to just keep going on the circle.
