Mar. 27th, 2025 01:02 amToday I am grateful for:
Not too bad temperature wise, overcast. We're supposed to be getting rain/slush overnight.
Getting decent sleep.
Waking up feeling fairly positive.
I did finally reach Sister E while she was able to talk, so we had a decent conversation.
My Sweetie sent me some especially funny cartoons to make me laugh.
I did chores, then headed to the barn for our lesson today.
Our lesson was almost entirely talking. This happens every now and then. Working with horses, especially at a barn like this when we want to do more than just make a horse do things when we tell them to do it, digs a lot into our relationships with horses, and ourselves.
We did do a bit with our neutral circles, which have improved, and there was a lot of discussion about how to bring positive energy, which is always a huge issue with River and I, something I would like to resolve once and for all, but likely never will.
A good lesson, we ended up talking for an hour past the end of the lesson, since there was no one after me today.
I came home, put Dandy back, and put a blanket on Wonder as it had started to rain. If Dandy and Ursula are soaked later, I might put theirs on too. Otherwise, I think they might be too warm as they still have so much of their winter hair.
I noticed that Wonder has a sore front foot which is probably an abscess, as she gets one nearly every spring. Poor girl. I will need to soak it and clean it and put a protective boot on it.
Then I came in. My Sweetie had supper waiting, and we chatted while I ate (he already ate).
