Mar. 27th, 2025 11:40 pmToday I am grateful for:
Decent sleep.
Being able to just stay home today.
It's been snowing all day, and supposed to keep snowing all night. We'll have to see what the roads are like.
I did chores, and was relieved to see that Wonder's foot seemed more comfortable for her. I did clean it out and soaked it last night, and put a protective boot on it to keep the mud out.
I soaked it and washed it again, and put the boot back on, but she wasn't acting sore today. I'll keep the boot on for a while to make sure it's okay.
I put blankets on the ponies today, since they were not staying in the shed and staying dry. They're funny critters, they have a nice, toasty shed but they'll just stand outside and get soaked.
I talked with Sister S, who now has a date for surgery on her back in April. I talked with her for about half an hour, and walked up and down the lane for exercise while we talked.
When my Sweetie got home, we got right to painting in the kitchen, and got a primer coat on, and one coat of ceiling paint that looks pretty good (it was already just going over existing white ceiling paint).
Then we ate and watched an episode of "Fringe".
I replied to D's email that was the draft to submit our proposal for a pottery studio community page on Facebook, from our Communications Committee. She is preparing it for submission tomorrow, as the executive is having another (pretty much stealth, unannounced to the rest of the craft center) meeting. They literally just told D this yesterday.
I wonder why they did that with such short notice, were they hoping to catch us unprepared? Had we not been ready, when would their next meeting have been?
All day, and pretty much most of the time now, I'm struggling with the political atmosphere.
