Today I am grateful for:

Some good sleep.

Beautiful weather.

Our home, our animals.


I spoke with Sister S, who is soon to have back surgery. Of course, we had to talk about Trainwreck, because I am trying to cut back on speaking with her, but that doesn't mean that every single damn day SOMEONE has to talk about her.

Our Mom's birthday is this week, and her care facility will have a cake for her, and some of our family is planning to see her.

I tried to talk with her today, but she didn't really speak. Some monosyllables.

I did chores, then headed to the barn for our lesson.

It was a good lesson. We worked on "being more forward", which kind of gets to me, because it is a constant issue with River, and we work on it, but it doesn't seem to stick. He slides back into being pokey, and I have a hard time always motivating him.

I keep trying, I guess.

He WAS more forward today, with some encouragement.

Then we worked on the current patterns, and that went okay.

In all, lots of work for River today.

Then I came home, and returned Dandy to his pen.

My Sweetie came home, we ate, chatted, and watched an episode of "Fringe".
