Good sleep.
Beautiful weather and sunshine.
I resisted the urge to call Trainwreck, to see how she's doing. I know she's in the hospital again, and she's probably bored, but I'm tired of being worried about her. Today I didn't want that potential for drama or pity in my head before my riding lesson.
I might call her tomorrow, maybe.
I talked to my Sweetie on the phone for a while, about things like the building for the pottery studio and such. He's talking to a couple of builders to compare costs.
I did chores, and had some time to just walk around the horse pasture with Roxy, which I enjoyed very much as did she. I'm sure the now revealed treasures (to a dog) that were under the snow are fascinating. A lot of now abandoned mouse nests, etc.
I went to the barn for our lesson. R said she didn't get to eat the squares I gave her to try, as her daughter L ate them both before she got the chance.
The rider before my lesson time had her sweet little dog with her, but for some reason Indie was a bit shy with me, even though we've met before. She wasn't being the least bit fear aggressive, she was actually being kind of sweet and following me around a bit, but not comfortable with me touching her, so I didn't push anything.
Our lesson was recording patterns for the virtual show, and it was a little hard for me to stay in a good frame of mind. I get too serious about it, and easily frustrated because it feels like a lot of pressure.
We did get videos for three classes, which is good, though it's hard mentally to stay in the right mind set.
River's breathing wasn't good today either, which makes it tough for him to be forward, and if it makes sense he is just not as good with his body. If a horse isn't moving forward and carrying himself well, everything is harder. From a "try" standpoint, he did well, considering.
After recording, I showed R that I could stand on River with the umbrella, and she was excited for us.
I came home and my Sweetie wasn't home yet, so I worked with Dandy and Wonder in the round pen. It's very wet, but the snow is almost all gone.
They both did well for not having worked with them for most of the winter.
Dandy is so freakin' cute.
My Sweetie got home, we went inside, ate leftovers, and watched an episode of "Fringe".
