Another somewhat bland day, but also recognizing the inherent joys of the everyday.
I did get a few things done that were useful. I changed the cat litter and swept the room it's in. I changed the sheets and washed the ones I took off the bed. I did dishes.
I did chores and it was okay outside.
I went to see River, and R and maybe her family were painting all the metal parts of the stalls; dark green. She's been doing lots of cleaning in general in the barn. You know she had to wash everything before it got painted, she's been washing the stalls, the floor was very well swept. You'd hardly know it is a barn.
The amount of work that is evident in how clean and organized her property is, is something I have always appreciated. It shows in her diligence in everything she does.
River was pretty dusty, but probably happy not to have a blanket on anymore.
He did really well today on being calm and relaxed while I stood up on him, and tossed the umbrella and my rain coat to one side. Pretty amazing.
I had time just to be with him for a while after we worked, letting him use the Surefoot pads, and just hanging out. I knew no one else was coming, since it was Easter.
Then I went home, and worked with Wonder and Dandy in the big pasture. Wonder stayed with me really well again today as we walked around the pasture. Dandy was hilarious. He wasn't being asked to stay with Wonder and I, but he didn't like us being too far away. He'd eat (with his grazing mask on) but when we got too far away he'd come roaring up full speed and pull up right beside us.
Then I worked with just Dandy, and once he knew I was indeed serious, he stayed with me well too.
I really enjoyed walking with them. I'm so happy with the longer days.
Then I talked with my Sweetie, and it sounds like he had a good day with family again. He went to the climbing gym again with a few of the younger folks. At least he didn't have to worry about not getting any climbing in, and it's funny that he that he thought he wouldn't get to climb, because he's been able to go every time he's gone to visit family. They do live in a good sized city after all.
So, a very quiet but pleasant day overall.
