Today I am grateful for:

My sweetie didn't have to do anything today. It was raining, and there's nothing left to do on the basement until the guy is ready to start pouring concrete, so he took a day off. A very rare thing these days.

A good ride on River. He was a little disengaged at first; he sometimes is. He just felt tight and not interested in being bendy. Then he loosened up and REALLY released into our stretching at the walk and trot, to the point of being really zoned out. I think he likely had a rough night last night, with all the lightening and rain, likely didn't sleep and was cold all day. I know lots of times in the winter he seems really grateful for coming in and working in the arena and loosening up. By the time we were done he was really relaxed and I think quite happy.

Coming home and having a nice nap. The only thing to do on a crappy, cold day (if possible, anyhow).

Watching "Bedazzled" with my sweetie. This is still one of my favorites; hilarious.
