Today I am grateful for:

Sunshine.

Lots of sleep.

My sweetie and the crew making good progress today. They made the forms for the foundation of the basement (I didn't know this, but you have to make a thick layer all around the outside edges to support the walls of the basement, besides just the floor). Then I got to watch the cool concrete truck with a boom and a hose fill the forms. They have to cure a few days before we can put up the walls, but we have to do some work with laying in a layer of gravel and some weeping tile first, so it's all good. It's a very interesting process.

Time to groom the ponies. They have so much mane I like to use spray conditioner and comb it all out once in a while, though they don't seem to really matt up too badly. I also spent some time working on cleaning their hoofs out with a pick. So far they've been really good with picking their feet up, but Dandy has some issues with actually cleaning them out. Maybe the hoof pick feels weird to him. By the end of our session he was doing pretty good.

A good phone conversation with my Mom. It's nice to have the house stuff to talk about with her; it's tougher to make small talk when I'm not doing much.

Watching "The Negotiator" with my sweetie. It was a pretty ho-hum movie, but it was nice just to chill.
