gottawonderToday I am grateful for:
Dragging along on a day that didn't really feel like a day to be energetic or inspired.
It was gray and drab, and was unable to decide if it would be warm or cool, windy or still, dry or incipient rain.
My Sweetie had gotten up fairly early to go get work done on the sheds. He is aware of the coming of winter. He also wants to visit his parents soon, so he knows he needs to reach a certain point with the sheds if he does that.
I went outside and did some various chores. Feeding, pulling weeds, we turned the compost pile with our borrowed bobcat once we established that the snakes had moved on for the year, and took the collected cat litter sitting at the back deck out to the dumping area.
Then I went to see River, and my Sweetie went to the climbing gym.
River was looking pleased that he no longer needs to wear a fly mask.
He was breathing well, and not TOO sleepy in our work today, but relaxed. He was fairly light and responsive to cues.
I stayed to work with another horse, Ferrari, during the young woman with health challenges' lesson. Often during her lesson we go walk around the property, but now it is too dark to do so.
I came home, my Sweetie was home and made supper, and he headed to bed early because the hired carpenter is coming tomorrow.
Thursday
Good sleep.
Enjoying how clean my teeth feel with the new water pik.
Ended up talking with Trainwreck, Sister S, AND Sister E. No real news per se, but nice to catch up.
Worked with Dandy when my Sweetie got home, and this time fully hitched him to the cart so that he was pulling the full weight. He seemed okay with it.
We watched the 2024 version of "The Count of Monte Cristo" which is in French and we used subtitles, and is apparently not very faithful to the book, but was a good movie in it's own right. I thought it was beautifully filmed, had excellent actors, and an interesting plot. I was not trying to make any comparison to other works by this name, just to enjoy it as is. There was something interesting about watching a movie and not recognizing any of the actors.
