Today I am grateful for:

Decent sleep.

Having a day with my Sweetie.

We originally planned to the city and see the art gallery, since it's been awhile, but just didn't get going early enough to do that.

We did get to the town before you get to the city, and looked at mattresses.

There's a store that sells paint and mattresses that we usually buy paint from, and I think we bought a mattress from them when we first moved here too.

They're a family owned business, which it's nice to support them.

It wasn't too complicated to pick a mattress. My husband needs something fairly firm, so it was a choice between three price points mostly.

They have to order one in for us, so in about two weeks.

That took around 15 minutes, so we had lots of time to just do whatever.

We went to the new ReStore in town, and it was quite nice. My husband was hoping to find an electrical panel (didn't have what he needed), and I got some DVDs and a nice bowl.

It was a pretty large store, and everything looked to be in good condition. They had all kinds of things, household decor, dishes and kitchen stuff, books and DVDs, furniture, building materials...and to think that all of it is donated.

Then we went to the thrift store, which felt a bit weird because I just finished donating to them. Sigh.

I found some clothes that I don't really need, but such as it is.

Again, you see this enormous store full of all the things that people donated, and it's really something.

People just have so much stuff now. It's so easy to buy used things...there's so much of it! One part of me is kind of happy at the abundance of things in general, as it seemed like when I was a kid "things" were hard to come by, yet you know it's also over consumption and unsustainable.

We grabbed a burrito at the same place, and the same woman was working today, and she PILED the toppings. Those were substantial burritos!

Then we went to see a movie in the actual theater, something we do from time to time. We should try to do it more often, as it really is a nice experience.

We watched "Roof Man", and it was pretty good. It didn't necessarily NEED to be seen on a big screen the way some movies like Star Wars or Marvel movies are just meant for the big format, but it was just the experience in general is nice.

Then we came home and chatted before he headed to bed.
