Thursday, November 7
Nov. 7th, 2025 12:28 amToday I am grateful for:
Decent sleep. Though the cats woke me up at one point CLOSE to my normal waking time, I rolled over and went back to sleep for some extra zzzs.
Finally a Thursday that I didn't have to go anywhere. Thursdays are unofficially my free days, where I don't have a riding time, and I don't need to get groceries, etc. They do often end up being the day where I meet social obligations or make appointments.
Today I got to be pretty LAY-Z, and it was great.
I did finally get to talk with Sister S, and I wonder if she's been avoiding my calls...because I'm kind of worried about her health, and maybe I should leave it be.
I don't think I'm being pushy or judging, but I do try to encourage her to be pushy herself. I think she's giving up too easily.
I asked her what happened at the physiotherapist appointment, and she said they just gave her some exercises to do at home. They didn't do any kind of assessment, they didn't do the exercises with her at the clinic to make sure she could even DO them in the first place, nothing.
I said that made no sense to me, and that she likely needs to try again, as most physiotherapists would do things WITH her to find out her beginning point and work with that.
I hope she tries.
I did normal chores, and started doing some clean up in the area where all our shed building is happening.
I mostly picked up all the bits and pieces of wood (offcuts) and put them in a box. They can be burned in our wood stove since they are untreated wood.
It was dark so fast I missed my window to pick up some of the other stuff that's still sitting outside.
I came inside, did Mount Dishes, some laundry, and started quinoa for supper.
My Sweetie came home and we ate and watched "The Sting", the old one with Robert Redford and Paul Newman. What a great film.
