Nov. 18th, 2025 02:00 amToday I am grateful for:
Decent sleep, and yet rolling out of bed to deal immediately with texts and such.
I still didn't get to pottery very early, so of course I felt rushed as always. At least I didn't have any important errands that had to be done before the pottery time.
I sincerely hope that we can AT LEAST get things set up enough for us to throw in the new studio very soon, so that I have the time to do the job that I want, not the job that I have time for.
I am delighted by how well the items I just got back from the kiln turned out. The glaze is perfect, and I was thinking it might not work out, but then again I'm always a bit uncertain about glazing.
Yes, I'll try to post pictures.
In a very focused hour and a half, I checked on items that are still drying but lacked time to sponge off irregularities, managed to throw another nice vase shape, glazed that bowl from last week that I washed all the glaze off and was letting it dry to try again, and cleaned everything up.
Then I went to buy groceries, and I am very grateful to be able to do so.
I came home and my Sweetie made supper, and we were able to watch an episode of "Good Omens" before he headed for bed. I will say that the first season was MUCH better than the second, but it's still fun.
The second season is not as well written as the first, perhaps feeling the lack of Terry Pratchett. It's sort of just running on the fumes generated by the book. It's still fun, but not nearly as provocative as the first season/book.
